About  FLR

 

    The Research Center for Financial Law and Regulation, as a specialized research organization of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences ( CASS) , mainly enagages in theoretical and applied studies on financial law, financial regulation and financial  policies.

 

Mission

 

    Our mission is to conduct high-quality research on financial law, financial regulation and financial policies in accordance with the requirement for establishing a socialist market economy, to provide consultation services to the governments, regulatory authorities, enterprises or individuals at home or abroad, based on those, and to become a top platform for theoretical research, policy consultation and academic exchange in the area of financial law and financial regulation.

 

Functions

 

    Conduct comprehensive and systemic study on the fundamental theories of financial legislation, financial regulation and other relative fields to enrich the content of theories on Chinese finance.

 

    Provide consultation services to the governments, regulatory authorities and legislative departments. Offer consultation, assessment and training services  to enterprises (financial institutions, etc.), individuals and social groups and  undertake projects entrusted by them.

 

    Organize high-level academic conferences and senimars. Conduct  specific investigations.Publish or translate main research outcomes and Release important regular reports.

 

    Establish and enhance the cooperation with overseas institutions to establish long-term stable partnership and to form an international research team.

 

    Accept donations and funds both at home and abroad for theoretical research, academic exchanges and other activities such as scientific research and training.

 

Departments

 

    1. Administrative Office: responsible for the daily contact, and the research and cooperation.

 

    2. Research Department: according to the needs of academic development and international cooperation, set up the departments of financial law, financial regulation and other special research department. For example, set up the research department of bank compliance, the research department of securities crime, the research department of financial regulation to do some special researches.

 

    3. Investigation Base: according to the needs of the development, establish regional or industry research base with local governments and institutions. For example, set up the relevant research base in the stock market, commercial banks and listed companies.
