    It can be easily concluded that urbanization will be the hottest topic on the development of Chinese economy in the following ten or fifteen years. The Eighteenth Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, in 2012, had proposed to stick on the way of Chinese characterized new industrialization, informatization, urbanization and agricultural modernization. In the Central Economic Working Conference hold in the end of 2012, it was clearly pointed out “urbanization is not only the historical mission of Chinese modernization, but also offers a great potential in expending domestic demand. Therefore, for the purpose of increasing the quantity of urbanization, a positive guide for a healthy urbanization is needed.”
    The urbanization in Japan started early and has its own characteristic. Its success is worth considering. This project is going to research the development of Japanese urbanization, particularly the support from financial system, deeply and systematically investigate the experience of financial support in the procedure of Japanese urbanization. Based on the former work, meaningful countermeasure shall be proposed.
